Comparing Subjects
• To compare we use:
1.mejor/peor que (better/worse)
Mi clase de español es mejor que mi clase de
inglés.
2.mas...que/menos…que (…=insert adjective),
(more than/less than)
Mi clase de español es más interesante que mi
clase de inglés.
3.tan…como (…=insert adjective) (as…as)
Mi clase de español es tan interesante como mi
clase de inglés.
Using Superlatives…Saying “most or
least” NO comparing here!
• To create a superlative sentence we use this
formula:
-el/la/los/las+noun+más/menos+adjective
We use all four parts to create a statement.
For example:
Spanish is the most interesting class.
Español es la clase más interesante.
Matemáticas es la clase más difícil
-We can also use la mejor/el peor (best/worst)
La clase de español es la mejor.

Our Day Before School
• We use MOSTLY reflexive verbs.
-Levantarse (to wake oneself up)
1.DROP IT
Levantar (reflexive pronoun dropped)
2.CHANGE IT (me,te,se,nos,os,se)
se  me (if talking about yourself)
3.MOVE IT
Me levnatar (me moved to the front)
4.CONJUGATE IT
Me levanto (levantar changed to the “yo” form)
During/after school we use regular verbs in the present tense if
we are talking about our daily schedule (or past tense if we
are describing the past).

Boot Verbs!
• These have a “stem” change, which means we
need to change the spelling at the root of the
verb.
• There are three types:
O  ue, acostarse… me acuesto
E ie, despertarse…me despierto
E I, vestirse…me visto
Why are they called “boot verbs again?”
Me despierto
Te despiertas
Se despierta
Nos despertamos
Os despertais
Se despiertan

Describing Clothing in Detail
• What size? (¿Qué tamaño es?)
-pequeno, mediano, grande
• What’s it made of? (¿De que es?)
-lana, algodon,plastico, nilon, sintetico
• What is it like? (¿Como es?)

• How does it fit?
Use the verb (quedar=to fit+me/te/le/nos/os/les)
Me queda bien/flojo/apretado
(It fits me well,loose,tight)
