Expectations…



Initially, I had no expectations from the
class, with the exception of the stipend.
Once I started the project my expectations
were to become a user of web based
lessons.
Now that I am completing the project, I
want to be able to become an advanced
user of web based lessons.
Actual Learning…



I learned how to create a web page from
“Scratch”.
I learned how to use the internet more
effectively…..using less time.
I learned how to create specific links to my
page.
Successes and Shortcomings…
I feel that this lesson was a success, in that, I learned
what “to do” and what “not to do” to be prepared
for a lesson that totally depends on technology. I
feel that although it may not have felt successful
at times, my students learned how to use the
computer as a “tool” for their project. I also feel
that the links that I created for my students were
very useful for their mental imagery on rocket
construction.
Shortcomings “In a Nutshell”…



What to do and what not to do?
Technology dependant???
Time constraints
Successes “In a Nutshell”…

Revision Summary..


The student data was very helpful for the
analysis of the final project.
The following revisions were made during
CTAP 295: objective revision, update
website continually, and pretest revision.

Conclusion…
I feel that although the idea of technology based
learning is wonderful, the actual integration of
these types of lessons into our standardized
curriculum are, at times, totally unrealistic.
Teachers, unfortunately do not have the time that
must be spent on creating these types of lessons.
I maintain a hopeful outlook for the successful
integration of technology based lessons. I truly
plan to set aside time to put these lessons into
practice starting this next September.
