There are five main types of
propaganda: broad generalization,
hidden messages, loaded
messages, bandwagon appeals,
and faulty reasoning.
Broad generalization are claims that can not be
proved true.
Example:
Hidden messages are pictures or words that give
an idea without stating it directly.
Example:
Loaded language are words that appeal to our
emotions.
Bandwagon appeals imply that everyone else
uses (has or owns) something. The idea is to
make everyone else feel they have to fit in and
they might buy the product.
Example:
Using unrelated or
unconnected details as
support.
