Islands of beauty
Children like to complete what they are doing
and may feel frustrated and disappointed
when they are constantly interrupted
Time is an important resource which should
be used to show your respect for the choices
of the child.
We need to organise the program so that time
revolves around the children’s interests
This shows that we value the learning in
which the child is involved
We also need to encourage and support
children to persevere with developmentally
significant activities
These are activities where the child is
experiencing or learning something new to
them.
This is when we are scaffolding children’s
learning
