Definition: The marketing of products that are
presumably safe to the environment.
Ex. Toyota Prius
Personalized Marketing
Definition: Marketing that
creates an unique product
offering for each customer.
When you visit websites, what
you are looking at registers
online and then the next time
you are on Facebook you
could have a banner ad for
the product you were looking
at before.
Social Media
Definition: Forms of electronic communication in
which users create online communities to share
information, ideas, personal messages, and other
content.
Ex. FaceBook, Twitter.
Mobile Marketing
Definition: A set of practices that enables
organizations to communicate and engage with their
audience in an interactive and relevant manner
through any mobile device or network.
Ex. Zinga
Geo-targeting
Definition: The practice of customizing an
advertisement for a product or service to a specific
market based on the geographic location of
potential buyers.
Ex. Home Depot in Florida running an ad for
hurricane season.
Co-marketing
Definition: A partnership between two or more
companies where both companies jointly market
each other’s products.
Ex. Apple and Nike jointly developing a new
service for joggers: NIKE+
Gray Marketing
Definition: Market comprising of consumers over the
age of 60.
Ex. Mobile scooters
