Without antibiotics we
would have people dying from
insect bites!
The First antibiotic
(penicillin) has
been called…
The
‘WONDER DRUG’
The
‘MIRACLE DRUG’
Antibiotics are quoted as
being
“life changing science
discoveries!”
Why?
What is the reason for all
this praise?
The answer is …
PENICILLIN ALONE SAVES
THOUSANDS OF LIVES
EACH MONTH!!!!

If you are, then what is
your story?
If antibiotics were never
discovered then what
would have happened to
you?
When I was 8 I had my
own encounter with the
first antibiotic,
penicillin…
As far as I can
remember…
OUCH!!!!!!
My eye was like this when
I woke up…
At around midday my
eye had swollen even
more…
That night I had a penicillin
shot.
The next morning my eye
completely closed before the
penicillin kicked in!
The very next day my eye
was back to normal! All
with the help of the
‘wonder drug’ penicillin!
I don’t know what would
have happened to me if I
hadn’t had the penicillin,
but it could have been
serious.
Just as it helped me,
antibiotics has helped to
save over 80 million lives,
in the space of 71 years! I
think any discovery that
does that is worthy of
being in the Moss Vale
High Hall of Fame!
