Celebrity Appeal: A famous person appears
on behalf of the product.
Expert Endorsement: A professional
associated with a product type (like a doctor
or teacher) recommends a particular brand.
Reward or “Free Gift” Appeal: An ad that
offers a reward or a “free gift” to consumers
who purchase the product advertised.
Humor Appeal: An ad that makes you laugh
to encourage you to buy a product.

•The Numbers Game: An ad that uses statistics
(like 3 out of 4) to convince you of a product’s
value.
•Bandwagon Appeal: An advertisement that tries to
convince you that “everybody’s doing it” or
everyone has a particular product.
•Product Comparison: An advertisement that
compares one type or brand of product to another.
•Emotional/sentimental: An advertisement that
appeals to the viewer’s emotions.
