BACKGROUND
EcoCAR 3 is challenging 16 North American university teams to redesign a
Chevrolet Camaro to reduce its environmental impact, while maintaining the
muscle and performance expected from this iconic American car. EcoCAR 3
teams will be tasked to enhance the vehicle even further by applying the latest
cutting-edge technologies and incorporating new innovative ideas. Teams have
four years (2014-2018) to harness those ideas into the ultimate energy-efficient,
high performance vehicle. The Computer Science (Innovations) Team is
responsible for creating the center display for a police theme vehicle while
maintaining the original functionality.
OBJECTIVES
● Point to Point Navigation System that is
responsible for replacing all of the GPS
function in the touch screen display.
● Police database to handle all police related
information.
● Main GUI that displays the car battery, car
temperature, and time. An entrypoint to the

CONCLUSION
EcoCar3 allows the user to easily access the Police
Database and Point-to-Point Navigation System. Year 2
further developed the user interface and database
schema. These implementations will serve as a
framework that could be used in the competition’s
upcoming years. The EcoCar3 Computer System will
continue to evolve for another two years implementing
up-to-date and innovative technologies.
