achieve effective communication, including: time, volume of
information, tendency to say what we think others want to hear,
failure to select the best word, prejudices and strained
relationships, judging, superiority, certainty, controlling

• Communication Enhancers: techniques for reducing or
eliminating barriers to communication, including: properly
encoding messages, selecting the best channel, describing,
equality, openness, problem orientation, positive intent, and
empathy.
