provincial/territorial governments, and Aboriginal peoples
to develop police services.
Every First Nation community may enter into this partnership
The goal of these police forces are to offer services that are
professional and sensitive to the needs of the community.
In NB, the first RCMP detachment consisting of First Nations
officers was established in 2000 for the Maliseet First Nation
in Tobique.
