By: Jesus Hernandez
 The September 11 attacks (often referred to as
September 11th or 9/11) were a series of coordinated
suicide attacks by Al-queda upon the United States on
September 11, 2001.
 On that morning, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four
commercial passenger jet airlines
 The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into
the Twin Towers of the world trade center in New York city
 Nearly 3,000 victims and the 19 hijackers died in
the attacks
 According to the New York State Health
Department, 836 responders, including
firefighters and police personnel, have died as of
June 2009
 People were jumping out of the buildings
 The attacks on pearl harbor from the Japanese
naval force were a surprise to the united states.
 It happened at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the
morning of December 7, 1941.
 The next day the United States declared war on
Japan.
 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed, 2,402 personnel were
killed and 1,282 were wounded.
 Japanese losses were light, with 29 aircraft and five
midget submarines lost, and 65 servicemen killed or
wounded.
 The United States responded to the attacks by
launching the War on Terror: it invaded Afghanistan
to depose the Taliban, who had harbored al-Qaeda
terrorists.
 Since they declared war on Japan which started WW2
the United States bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki
which caused a lot of damage to both cities.
 Within the first two to four months of the bombings,
the acute effects killed 90,000–166,000 people in
Hiroshima and 60,000–80,000 in Nagasaki.
 Osama bin laden was the one who planned the whole
9 11 attack and his terrorist group the al-Qaeda did too
and the al-Qaida did the hijacking.
 There was 19 hijackers all of them committed suicide
killing themselves and other innocent people.

 Japanese refer to their emperors by the emperor's renal
name rather than by his given name. Thus Emperor
Hirohito is known as the "Showa" emperor after the
name of his reign
 He was the one who sent his naval force to bomb Pearl
Harbor.
 The planes that were hijacked to attack the twin
towers had bombs that the Al-Qaeda put on the
planes.
 In Pearl Harbor the Japanese also used airplanes with
bombs and guns they used them to sink the ships as
well as kill people.
 I am of East Indian descent, from Trinidad and Tobago
(fourth generation). At the time of 9/11 I lived in New
Jersey and commuted to NYC to work on First Avenue
and Houston.
 After 9/11 I was very nervous about going into the City,
as nervous as everyone else. I was particularly affected
by the fear of leaving my home that enveloped me on a
daily basis.
 You see, although I come from a country in the
Caribbean, Americans thought I was Iraqi, Pakistani,
you name it.

The U.S made camps for Japanese or Asian people so
they don’t cause harm to the city of Hawaii. Despite
the fact that most people who were Japanese were
against their own country.
 I think that both attacks were awful and they were
both racist related so I think what Afghanistan and
Japan got they deserved don’t you?
