A is for Allies
The countries at war against Germany and Japan were the allies.
B is for Bombs
• Bombs were used during the war such as Japan's atomic bomb
named the ‘’FAT MAN’’ that was dropped on Nagasaki.
C for Campaign
• The island campaign was a goal to win against the Philippines in
Japan.
D for Dutch East Indies
• Japanese naval parachutists landing during the attack on the Dutch
East Indies in 1942.
E for Eisenhower
• Army officer Lieutenant General Dwight D. Eisenhower commanded
and operation known as operation “TORCH.”
F for Fuhrer
• A German word meaning “leader” made by Hitler as his official title in
1931.
G for Great Depression
• From the 1920’s to the 1930’s the great depression was a economic
crisis when many countries had lost tons of money because of people
going out of business.
H for Hitler
Hitler was one of the most evilest and one of the most important
people during WWII
I for Invasion
• A lot of invasions and surprise attacks happened during WWII such as
pearl harbor.
J for Japanese
• The japs were one of the most interactive and most destructive
people during WWII.
K for Kamikaze
• Kamikaze plane landed into a U.S. carrier known as the St. Lo.
L for Luftwaffe
• Hitler formed one of the most powerful air force during that time
known as the Luftwaffe.
M for Machine guns
• Machine guns were used in Japanese airplanes.
N for Nazi
• Nazi’s were the name of the German soldiers.
O for Operation Overlord
• Operation Overlord also know as D-DAY was one of the biggest parts
of WWII because 5,000 ships were set out across the south coast of
England, U.S. planes bombed Germany.
P for Pearl Harbor
• Pearl Harbor was basically what started the war and what caused us
to start to fight.
Q for Questioned
• When they captured soldiers from each side they asked them
questions to get information.
R for Roosevelt
• President Franklin D. Roosevelt was the president of the United States
during that time.
S for Submarines
• The Germans made submarines to apply secrete missions.
T for Torpedo
• An underwater missile fired from a submarine or an airplane.
U for United Nations
• After the war the developed the united nations to keep peace.
V for V-E Day
• Germany signed a surrender document giving Europe Victory.
W for World War II
• World War II is the second world’s biggest war.
X for Extermination
• Camps where the Nazis imprisoned and systematically killed Jews and
other prisoners. Also known as death camp.
Y for Yamatoto, Isoroku, Admiral
• Japanese general who took part in most of the war.
Z for Zero
• The Zero was a long-range, carrier-based fighter plane.
