NOTES
HIS SON, WILLIE, DIED
CONFEDERATES
CONFEDERATES WERE WINNING THE WAR BY FIGHTING A
DEFENISVE WAR; THIS WOULD CHANGE THEIR STRATEGY
LINCOLN NEEDS MORE SOLIDERS; NOT ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS
WORTH IT
EUROPEAN NATIONS
(FRANCE/BRITAIN)
THEY RELIED ON THE SOUTH FOR
COTTON
THEY HAD RECENTLY ABOLISHED SLAVERY
(THEY’D BE HYPOCRITES)
IN HIS DESK
30 ACRE PATCH OF CORN
MOST LIKELY STOOD NEXT TO A FAMILY MEMBER
LEE’S BATTLE PLAN
IT WAS LEFT BEHIND, WRAPPED AROUND A
FEW CIGARS (FELL INTO UNION HANDS)
VERY CAUTIOUS; MADE EXCUSES NOT TO ATTACK
NO ONE ELSE
OBLITERATED; NOT MUCH LEFT
CAME IN ONE AFTER ANOTHER, LIKE WAVES
I HIT YOU, YOU HIT ME; NO DEFENSE
THEY HAVE MORE MEN
9,000
DAY 2
VIDEO
NOTES
THEY WERE BEING HELD CAPTIVE BY THE UNION
THEY’D JOIN LEE’S ARMY
LEE’S ARMY HAD NO UNDERWEAR, LOOKED
HUNGRY…
INVADERS
ROAD THAT’S ERODED OVER TIME;
MEN WERE COMPLETELY COVERED BY THE ROAD
THEY HAVE THEM TRAPPED
COULD HAVE POSSIBLY ENDED THE WAR
EARLIER
DOESN’T WANT TO RISK LOSING
HIS REMAINING TROOPS
CONFEDERATE TROOPS
CRIES OF WOUNDED SOLDIERS
A PHOTOGRAPHER
