attractive that the audience does not
challenge its true meaning.
Tide detergent uses the slogan,
“Looking to try pure essentials?”
To make their product seem very attractive

Something of value will be given
for taking part.

Attempting to tie in to common,
“ordinary” values and makes
assumptions about those that use
it
