Concept Classes


Concepts of English: For students who are weak readers
and do poorly on the Reading EOG exam in May. You will
take this course in the fall & then English I in the spring to
work on your reading comprehension skills. Reading
comprehension is the core of all high school academic
subjects. This will not be a class you will register for
yourself. It will count as an elective course & not an English
course.
Concepts of Math: For students who struggle in math and
do poorly on the Math EOG exam in May. You will take
Concepts of Math in the fall and then Algebra I in the spring.
You will not register for this class yourself. This class will
work on your math skills and you will cover materials from
pre-algebra. This will count as an elective course and not a
math course.
Remember…




Sign up for three alternative courses.
You will be placed in these courses only if
your first choices cannot be fulfilled.
Be sure to include course name and number
on these alternative courses.
We will try our very best to get you in the
classes you registered for.
