Allies crossed the
English Channel and
landed on the
beaches of
Normandy.
The Battle of the Bulge
This battle was fought in Belgium. German troops
pushed the Allies back and caused a “bulge” in their
troop lines. It lasted 6 weeks and there were 76,000
American casualties.
