BU Marketing Manager
Purpose
The BU Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation and quality of standards within Marketing
throughout the Business Unit to optimize sales and the customer experience in the Dufry shops.

Operations
 Elaborate the Marketing Plan for the Business Unit, in coordination with the Global Marketing Department
 Coordinate the production of all required marketing material and Business Unit final layout templates with
external agencies
 Define, organize, implement, control, measure and evaluate promotions and other marketing activities in
the Business Unit
 Publish, communicate and analyze results of previous promotional campaigns for improvements
 Launch necessary marketing studies and analyze results to create action plan for marketing improvement
 Select external Advertising & Promotions agencies as business partners
 Prepare and participate in the negotiation with suppliers for marketing investments, e.g. advertising
spaces
 Maximize advertising income of the shops in the Business Unit
 Implement Branding and Corporate Image in the operations in line with Dufry’s guidelines and propose
needed modifications based on quarterly analysis.
 Keep a close link with Retail Operations through frequently visiting shops and ensure strong coordination
with Area Retail Managers and Shop Managers for an optimal implementation of marketing activities

 Responsible for Business Unit internal and external communication requests and implementing Dufry
communication standards
Finance
 Monitor, analyze and report Marketing functions and KPI’s in accordance with Dufry’s guidelines
 Control the Business Unit Marketing budget
Customer
 Maintain contact with customers in order to understand their needs and exceed their expectations
 Analyze customer profiles and complaints and adapt actions accordingly
 Implement the corporate customer service policy and training

Experience Required
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business or related field with at least 5 years of experience in retail and 3 years in
a management role, knowledge of the luxury branded consumer goods industry
