ADVERTISEMENT EXAMPLES
Lets look at the following commercials and then
talk about them:
ACTIVITY 1: (ABOUT 10 MINUTES)
In groups of 2-4, use YouTube and look up some
commercials, clips & advertisements. Keep track
of your favorites.
Use search words like:
• (FORMAT) Ad, advertisement, commercial, clip
• (PREFERENCE) Best of, worst of, awesome,
hilarious, make you cry
• (PRODUCT) soda, Mc Donald's, sports, car crash,
junk food, soap, LV, coca cola
ACTIVITY 2: (ABOUT 10 MINUTES)
Choose 1 favorite AD that you want to show
everybody.
Load and display the that video AD on FULLSCREEN
Go walk around the room and look at a few other
advertisements on other computers
Groups of 2-4 students per computer
ACTIVITY 3: (ABOUT 10 MINUTES)
In new groups of 2 - 4, I want you to talk about your
favorite ads (commercials) and to talk about creating
a newer and better advertisement for some product.
Ask questions like:
What would you do
How would you make it better
What ideas do you like/dislike
Would it be crazy, creative, energetic, romantic
Who or what would you use in it
How about music or art (design)
ACTIVITY 4: (ABOUT 10 MINUTES)
Return to your seat and resume working on
your radio advertisement script.
Use your notes and ideas from today’s class to
help you create an appropriate script.
