Rehearsals will be in the choir room or the cafeteria.
Music rehearsals will be in the choir room.
Starting Friday January 10, we will be in the cafeteria.
Students should attend all rehearsals they are called for.
Please refer to the Scene breakdown eet to see if your
child should be at rehearsal for that day.
If a conflict arises, please contact the directors ASAP
ALL CAST MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND
REHEARSALS DURING TECH WEEK-NO EXCEPTIONS
(February 10-21)
Expect rehearsals to run longer as we get closer to our
performance dates.
MUSIC/SCRIPTS
• Not all chorus members will get scripts, but they will
receive copies of the music.
• Students will get CDs with rehearsal music.
• Students are responsible for writing down blocking
notes or dance notes in their script/music.
• BRING A PENCIL TO ALL REHEARSALS!
Attendance & behavior problems
• All cast members are required to abide by the
RRISD student code of conduct and remain eligible
to participate in extra-curricular activities.
• If a student receives a grade under 70% on a report
card, he or she will lose the privilege of participating
in the play.
• Failure to abide by these rules, or if a student has
three or more unexcused absences or excessive
tardies to rehearsal, his/her role will be assigned to
someone else.
Do we have to provide our own
costumes?
• Though we have some things in storage and are
borrowing items from other theatres, if you have
something already in your house that would work for a
certain character please bring it to rehearsal to see if it
works for the play.
• If you do not mind providing your own costume, that
would be AWESOME!
• We will need parents to help making some costumes.
• Students should provide their own shoes for the play.
Plain brown or black dress shoes or flats would work for
most characters. Sandals with straps, or colorful flats will
also work for peasants.
Food? Parent volunteers?
• Students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and
snack or meal to rehearsals.
• We are looking for a few parent volunteers that can bring
meals for the cast and crew for the last two weeks of
rehearsals.
• Parents are encouraged to attend rehearsals and
performances to help out.
• We will need help with costume & set construction,
concessions, wranglers, backstage hands, props, etc…
• WE NEED ONE OR TWO PARENT LEADERS to help
organize our volunteer crew!!!
