Today we will learn to identify active verbs
Definition: a verb that shows physical
movement
For example: jump, run, push, shove

Write down the 5 action verbs you see here:
We walked to Gerrard’s to buy some Pepsis
but Jimmy fell down while we were arguing
and I laughed at him.
Action Verbs!
Copy these action verbs:
ran to Gerrard’s, stood in line,
bought a Coke, drank it on the way
home and fell on the sidewalk.

the roof, swung down on a rope,
came home, then called a friend.
