Verbs That Use Indirect Object Pronouns
Some verbs that use indirect object pronouns:

These verbs use a similar construction:
(A + noun/pronoun) indirect object pronoun + verb
+ subject
(A mí) me encantan los efectos especiales en esa
película.
(A nosotros) nos aburre esa película.
• A + noun or pronoun is often used with these
verbs for emphasis or clarification.
• The pronouns agree with and clarify the indirect
object pronoun.

The Present Perfect Tense
• compound tense
• describes past events/actions that have been
going on up to (and into) the present
• used to describe events that have (or have not)
happened
– Compare:
• Trabajé mucho ayer.
– (I worked a lot yesterday.)
• Yo he trabajado mucho esta semana.
– (I have worked a lot this week.)
To form:
1. use a present-tense form of haber
(yo)

has
(él/ella/Ud.)
(nosotros)
ha
hemos
(ellos/ellas/Uds.)
han
2. use a past participle
drop -ar, -er, or -ir from verb
add:

ado for AR verbs
ido for ER or IR verbs
examples:
robar => robado (stolen)
correr => corrido (run)
Most verbs that have 2 vowels together in the
infinitive have a written accent over the i of the
past participle:
caer (to fall) => caído
leer (to read) => leído
oír (to hear) => oído
traer (to bring) => traído
creer (to believe) => creído
Irregular Past Participles:
decir (to say/to tell) => dicho
hacer (to do/to make) => hecho
volver (to return) => vuelto
devolver (to return something) => devuelto
escribir (to write) => escrito
romper (to break) => roto
morir (to die) => muerto
ver (to see/to watch) => visto
poner (to put/to place) => puesto
• When you use pronouns (me, te, se,
lo, le, etc.) with the present perfect
tense, the pronoun goes immediately
before the form of haber
–¿Has visto la película nueva?
–No, no la he visto.
