An imperative sentence is a sentence that gives advice or
instructions. It always has a verb that expresses a request
or command. An imperative sentence always ends with a
period or an explanation point.
As you have already learned a sentence must contain a subject and a
verb. In an imperative sentence, the subject is often left out.
Here are some examples of an imperative sentence
Give me the book.
Clean your room.
Finish your homework!
Who or what is the subject of these sentences? The subject of most
imperative sentences is you. So the sentences are really saying:
You give me the book.
You clean your room.
You finish your homework!

that express the command or request
