¿Te acuerdas?
Pt.1
The direct object pronoun goes immediately
before the conjugated verb
Example:
P: ¿Siempre preparas la cena?
R: No, no la preparo siempre, pero hoy sí la voy
a preparar.

¿Te acuerdas?
Pt.2
To form informal affirmative commands drop the –s
off the tú form of a verb ending, keeping in mind
the irregular verbs that do not follow this pattern.
Examples
Hablar -> habla
Comer -> come
Tener -> ten

Affirmative informal commands with
pronouns
When used with affirmative informal
commands, pronouns should be attached to the
end of the verb.
¿Pongo la mesa? Sí, ponla.
Should I set the table? Yes, set it.

Affirmative informal commands with
pronouns
Unless the affirmative command you’re using is
more than one syllable long, you will need to add
an accent to the stressed vowel of the verb.
Examples
¿Preparo la carne? Sí, prepárala. (1+ syllable)
Should I prepare the meat? Yes, prepare it
¿Pongo la mesa? Sí, ponla. (1 syllable)
Should I set the table? Yes, set it.

Affirmative informal commands with
pronouns
How do you know where the stressed vowel of
the verb is in order to add the accent?
In Spanish, the vowel emphasis automatically given to any word
is always on the second to last vowel, unless an accent tells you
to put the emphasis somewhere else (ex. construcción)
• Find where the second to last vowel sound would have been if
you hadn’t attached the pronoun to the end
Ex. Preparala-> prepara la-> prepára la -> prepárala
