US Senate CSJ subcommittee funds JWST at the funding level needed for the 2018 launch date. Assuming this is preserved in the final vote, the final budget will need to be decided at the House-Senate conference. Several expressions of support. Most recently 1400 European Astronomers sent a letter to the head of the OSTP, Holdren. Professional societies with membership exceeding 85,000 have also expressed support.
