• The black widow spider is very poisonous
– 15 times more than a rattlesnake!
• Funnel web spider – it hides in its web
until its prey gets stuck, then attacks.
Appearance
• Spiders have eight legs, and they have fangs which are used to
inject venom.

Habitat
• Spiders live all over the world, on every continent except
Antarctica.
• Spiders can live in trees, grass, desert, and also your house!
Prey / Predators
• Spiders use a web, spun out of sticky stuff, to catch their prey.
• They usually eat smaller insects, and are preyed on by wasps
and birds.
