• Looking for members to attend state
meetings.

Day on the Hill Update
• S2680/H2646: Support Comprehensive Mental Health
Reform
– Ensure resources are available for the mentally ill.
– Eliminate insurance billing issues (billing for two services
in the same day).
• S2932/H4365: Protecting Patient Access to
Emergency Medications Act of 2016
– Bill would ensure that patients in the field could be
administered controlled substances under existing
standing orders.
– Current DEA regulations will prohibit the use of standing
orders for EMS personnel.

• We encourage you to write your local
representatives.
• Letter templates:
– “..as your constituent…”
– Include personal stories
– Follow up on Sunday (most likely to get a response)
