Stereotypes
Using the 3 parts
of
communication
Before you can sit down
you must respond with
an answer to fit the
stereotype
ex: “Just because I’m
female, doesn’t mean I
am supposed to be a
good cook.”
Example #2: Athlete
“Just because I’m an
athlete, does not mean I
do not value my
education.”
1. Female
2. Male
3. Athlete
4. Spiritual
5. Minority
6. Blonde

Teenager
Stereotypes
Recognizing
emotions
that are
being
experienced
by another
 Empathy is just that. You may not
be able to always understand how
someone is feeling, but you can
try.
 Being a listener and not criticizing
someone
 Not faking that you understand
how they feel or suggesting you
know best is another way to show
empathy.
 Sometime just simply being there
and listening is the best way to
show empathy.
 You want to Guide your friends
not make decisions for them.
Have you ever felt that a
person you are talking to
is not listening?
Or
does not think about
your feelings or what you
are going through?
Why?
