Cleopatra’s Rule
• Cleopatra ruled 51-30 BC.
• She was the last of seven queens named
Cleopatra.
• She was a beloved ruler.
Cleoptra’s Childhood
• Cleopatra was the daughter of King
Ptolomy XII.
• Cleopatra’s full name was Cleopatra VII
Thea Philopator.
• She was born January 69 BC.
Cleopatra’s Adult Hood
• As she grew older, she was rolled in a
carpet to see Julius Caesar.
• Within a few months, Cleopatra and
Caesar were married.
• In 47 BC, Cleopatra had a son named
Ptolomy Caesarion.

1 cup-warm vegetable oil or butter
½ cup-powdered sugar
3-4 cups flour
30-40 almonds or slivered almonds

Shape into little balls and press down to flatten
Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 10-15 min.

• After they lost the battle she remarried
one of Caesar’s friend.
• Cleopatra married Mark Anthony.
• Mark Anthony thought Cleopatra had
been killed but she was still alive.
Cleopatra’s Death
• Most research claimed she had let a snake
bite her, but it is as a myth.
• Cleopatra dies August 12, 30 BC, she was
39.
• After her death, Cleopatra became known
as a goddess to the Egyptians.
Cleopatra’s Legend
• She knew how to speak seven different
languages.
• Displayed power publically through
rituals.
• Her legend has grown through writings
by Plutarch, Chaucer, and Shakespear.
Cleopatra’s Beauty
• Cleopatra was known as much for her
intelligence as her beauty.
• People felt that she was the reincarnated
goddess of wisdom.
• She was thought to be the most beautiful
in all the land.
How Cleopatra became Queen
• Her father, Ptolemy Auletes, died when
she was eighteen.
• This left Cleopatra and her brothers as
heirs to the thrown.
• She ruled Egypt until 48 BC when she
was removed by upset officials.
