Pyramids
The pyramid was a huge four-sided
structure, built as a monument to the
pharaoh. It took millions of stone blocks
to complete one pyramid. It took 20
years to make one pyramid.

contained secret
passageways.
Hieroglyphs
Egyptians's hieroglyphs were a
formal writing system used by ancient
Egyptians that combined
logographic and alphabetic elements.
To create the signs for the Ancient
Egyptians writing, they took there
inspiration from the world around
them. They transformed animals,
plants, natural elements, household
objects and buildings into
hieroglyphs.
Cleopatra
On 70 BC a baby ruler was Born
named Cleopatra. In 51 BC,
Cleopatra's father passed. After
that her and her younger brother
Ptomely, now ruled Egypt.
Cleopatra was charming and a
smart queen. She was the last
Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. On
August 12, 30 BC the famous
ruler of Ancient Egypt died, but
she is still famous till today.
Egyptian Medicine
Onions, Honey, Willow Leaves,
pig teeth, and a whole mouse are
all ancient Egyptian medicines.
Onions were a natural antibiotic
and Honey was a immunity
booster. Willow Leaves were a
source of aspirin. Pig teeth
helped settle stomachs. To cure
a cough they swallowed a whole
mouse.
Styles
Ancient Egyptians shaved their heads
because hair made them hot and
attracted lice. Wealthy Egyptians wore
wigs. They thought beards were unclean,
so men went clean shaven. They believed
that gods had facial hair, pharaohs had
phony wigs. Ancient Egyptians were
obsessed with looking and smelling good.
Both men and women wore eye makeup.
Egyptians adored themselves with rings,
necklaces, anklets, and earrings.
Obelisks
An Obelisk is a tall, four sided,
narrow monument with a
pyramid-like shape at the top.
Originally the builders called
them "Tekenus". Hieroglyphs
were engraved on Ancient
obelisks were often built with a
single stone. Most modern
obelisks are made with more than
one stone.
