 Egypt is located in North Africa
 The longest river in Africa goes through Egypt
 Egypt is hot , dry, arid most of the time
 It rains as little as two inches or less
 The ancient pyramids are located in Giza , Egypt
 The Great Sphinx are located in Giza, Egypt on the west
bank of the Nile River
 Ancient Egyptians staple food was bread, beer,
supplemented by onions or other vegetables and dried
fish
 Egyptians are very particular about how they look like
with makeup and other accessories
 Egyptians boys cut their hair short so that their ears will
show, but both boy and girls shave their head and use a
wig to keep their head cool especially
 Egyptians would get together to pray to the king and
gods
 They also got together for big celebrations
 Extended family would combine with others to help
herd and follow cattle
 Egyptians would have huge celebration frequently
 Egyptians got together to elect kings
 In the ancient times Egypt used rope trusses to stiffen the
beam of ships
 They also used geometry to survey the layout and ownership
of farmland
 Another type of technology they used and invented is the
boat
 The invention of paper and pencil was not introduced until
3,000 BC after that they used it for record keeping and
many other things
 Glass making was advanced in Egypt they used it for
everything
 Another tool they used before paper and pencil where
hieroglyphics to help them communicate
 In ancient Egypt they traded by ships with other
countries
 They traded food for supplies
 Mostly only the king was the one that was rich
 The price of something varied on the weight
 The political of Egypt are based on republicanism and a
scampi-presidential system
 Political parties are allowed to existed but religious
political parties are not
 The president is limited to 2-4 years
 Candidates must provide 30,000 signatures from at
least 15 provinces
 The first pharaoh of Egypt was Osiris
 When people commit crimes their punishment fits their
crime
Egyptians saw deaths as a transitional
stage in the process to a better life
Egyptians had and worshipped as many as
2000 gods and goddesses
When a person died the priests recited a
prayer and then the wash body and purify it
in a special shelter called an ibu.
 Egypt's main langue is Egyptian
 Most Egyptians didn’t know how to write
 Egyptians drew pictures instead of writing
 In Egypt the ancient Egyptians were the first builders
to make buildings with points
 They wrote hieroglyphics on the walls and they’re still
here today
 Many of the tombs and temples were built to honor their
gods and pharaoh's
 Inside the tombstones they painted images that showed
bow they wished to remain for eternity
Some children in Egypt play with a leather covered ball
and a wooden horse with wheels and those are only 2 of
the toys in Egypt
 Some families would go swim in water, cleared out of
crocodiles.
 Egyptians favorite entertainment was board games, like
Hounds and Jackals
 Wealthy Egyptians had parties for entertainment

