The Project
You must write a description of an imagined or real school
(MHS) policy.
 First, use an informational, objective style that would be
appropriate for a newspaper/student handbook.
 Then, rewrite the article as propaganda, changing
language, emphasis, and altering content to reflect the
interests of an individual trying to manipulate student
opinion.
 You must present the main points of your rule (both
before and after) on a poster to be displayed in class.
 You must compare contrast your rule to Animal Farm.
 A Grading Rubric will be provided to you!
My Expectations



I expect the rule to be one that you have
thought about a great deal.
The changes from before to after (in the
rule) must be noticeable and have an
impact on how the rule is perceived.
The poster must not only be well
organized and informative but must also
provide at least three pictures, two
quotes, and must be in color.
Example Rule
You may not use this rule for your poster
project!


Before- “No hats allowed in Mr. Christie’s
classroom.”
After- “No hats allowed in Mr. Christie’s
classroom unless you are a member of the
Yearbook club.”
