Definition:
Propaganda is the distortion or
selective use of information, to try to
change people’s opinions and
feelings. It is particularly common in
times of war.

By 1916 it was clear that the need
for soldiers was so great that a
volunteer army was not enough, so
the govt took action:
1. Jan 1916 Military Service Act

Conscription, all single men, aged 18-41
2. March 1916 Amended
