to current burial practices.
Mummification
Mummies!
Presentations
We got up in front of the class and
explained how we made innovative
decisions during the mummy making
process. In our class we had mummies
with ears, a cape, hairstyles, tattoos, along
with many other innovative ideas.
Mummified Apples
Our apples will sit in a mixture
that is 2 parts salt, 1 part baking
soda for one week until they are
mummies!
Reflection
We answered three questions in order to reflect
on our learning about Egyptian mummification:
1. Why did the Egyptians mummify their
dead?
2. What does this show us about Egyptian
Society, Politics, Interactions with their
environment, Culture and Economics?
3. How is this similar to modern funeral
practices?
