cm) width
Tape is normally graded according to its price and color
When taping an ankle, it is desirable to place a lubricated
pad over the anterior ankle and on the back of the heel
to prevent tape cuts and blisters.
The more acute the angles on the body part being taped, the
narrower the tape width that should be used.
Bonus
A spiral bandage is anchored at the largest circumference of
the limb and is wrapped proceeding downward in a
spiral.
Tape should adhere readily when applied and should
maintain this adherence despite profuse perspiration
and activity.
If you are wrapping a muscle, have the athlete place the
muscle in a relaxed position so you can control motion.
Do not apply tape if the skin is cold or hot from a
therapeutic treatment.
When taping an ankle that has sustained an inversion (going
in) injury, the stirrups should be pulled from the outside
of the ankle towards the inside of the ankle.
BONUS
When applying an elastic wrap to a muscle, each turn
should overlap itself by at least 1/2 and the wrap should
