Every student will receive a
planner from their Advisory
teacher at the beginning of
the school year.
Cypress Grove Lockers
•Students are assigned a locker
near their team’s classrooms.
•Students are given a combination
lock and taught how to open it.
•Lockers are not assigned the
first few days of school while
students learn to open their
locks.
•Once a student can open their
lock, a locker is assigned.

Students are placed in advanced
courses if they qualify.

Qualifications
 “A” average in first semester
 Commended Performance on 3rd TAKS
What are the choices?
ORCHESTRA

Learn to play an instrument such as the violin,
viola, cello or bass.

Learn to read music and rhythms.

Perform in at least two concerts.

You must rent or buy an instrument!

This elective lasts the full year.

The last day to change your
mind about your elective is:
Students will have many options for extracurricular activities after the school year
begins.
 A parent must sign off on any club in
which a student chooses to participate.
 Clubs may be before or after school.
 Parents are responsible for transportation.

Loose Ends
You will receive a registration packet by
mail in August.
 Fill out the packet and return it on the
assigned day.
 On that day, you and your student can
tour the building, pick up their schedule,
deposit money into their lunch account
and receive further info about daily
procedures.

