Composition?
Have you ever composed something?
Music
• Music is made up of notes and beats.
Writing
• Writing is made up of nouns, verbs, adjectives,
adverbs, conjunctions, and prepositions
(WORDS).
Art
• Art is made up of shapes, lines, forms, and
textures.
What if ?
• You could sculpt yourself…

Activity 1
• In the past I have composed your exercise
plan.
• Today, you will make up the “1st-5”
Bones
• Bones support and protect the various organs
of the body, produce red and white blood cells
( to help fight germs)...
Skin
• The skin is the largest organ of the body, with
a total area of about 20 square feet. The skin
protects us from microbes and the elements,
helps regulate body temperature.
Muscles
• Muscles are soft tissues that contain PROTEIN.
• How does our bodies get protein?
Fat
• Fat is one of the three main macronutrients
(large) fat, carbohydrate, and protein) that you
get from certain foods:
Too Much Fat!
• Due to poor eating habits…
• 2 out of 3 (67%) adult people in the USA are
overweight or obese.
Activity 2
• We are going to play the tagging game called
fat attack.
• As you know some fat is needed for ENERGY,
CUSHIONING, AND PROTECTION.
• Too much is Unhealthy.
Building your Body
• Physical Activity is important in building a
better you but the most important ingredients
are….
• Foods and water (Nutrition)
How do we measure Fat?
• BMI or Body Mass Index Can be measure by :
• Height and weight calculation
• Skinfold test:

• It truly is what you are made of (foods and
drinks)
