What is ProcedureText?
Procedure text is a text that is
designed to describe how
something is achieved through a
sequence of actions or steps.
The Purpose
• To attract readers about the mechanism of
achieving something
• To inform the readers about the process or
the procedure in harmony

Procedure Text’s Characteristics
• Using Present Tense
• Written in Imperative Form, by using
“make”, “use”, etc.
• Using temporal conjunctions such as
“then”, “after that”, “before”, “while”, etc.
OR using Ordinal Number (1, 2, 3, ...)
Assignment
• A class should be divided into 6 groups
• Create an essay about procedure text
• Create a video which depicts the
procedure text
• Due date: 6 days from today
(by turning in the Edmodo  both the
essay’s Pdf and the video in MP4 format)
The Essay Details (1)
• The Procedure Text should be related to one of
these topics (your group will get it randomly):
1. Beauty (lifestyle)
2. Handicrafts
3. Foods or Beverages
4. New Inventions in Technology
5. Telecommunications
6. Sports
The Essay Details (2)
• The essay should be written in paragraphs
(the process is not written in points/numbers.
• Pictures should be provided in the essay to
depict the process.
• Every pictures in the essay should be named.
• 4 paragraph is the minimum requirement of a
good procedural text.
The Video Details
• The video should depicts the steps/process
which have been written in the procedural text.
• The actor/actress in the video must be the group
members.
• All the group members should be involved in the
video making.
• The video duration is 7-10 minutes (including
credits).

• Create 1 title that corresponds to your group’s topic!
• Make a framework of your procedure text:
