around 1385.
Christmas market
Nuremberg is also
famous for
its Christkindlesmarkt
(Christmas market),

handmade ornaments

Church of Our Lady
(Frauenkirche)
The Frauenkirche ("
Church of Our
Lady") stands on
the eastern side of
the main market. It
was built between
1352 and 1362.
The church contains
many sculptures,

heavily restored.
One of the most
notable features of
the church is the
"Männleinlaufen", a
mechanical clock
that commemorates
the Golden Bull of
1356.

a Christchild every
year in Nuremberg,
which was played
until 1968 by

important
buildings in
Nuremberg. The

built around
1270–1350.
The construction of the building began
in 1225. the church achieved parish
church status in 1255 and was
completed by 1273-75
Along with Frauenkirche (Our Lady's
Church) and St. Lorenz, it is one of the
most important churches of the city,
and also one of the oldest. It is
located at the Albrecht-Dürer-Platz, in
front of the old city hall.
The mighty Wolffian hall
building, was built in 1616 to
1622 and shows his style
with elements, already the
transition to Baroque.
