PREFERIR- TO PREFER
•Here we will learn the verb PREFERIR,
which means “to prefer.”
•But before we do, let’s look at 2 other
verbs like PREFERIR.
PENSAR-TO THINK, TO PLAN
QUERER- TO WANT
•Querer and Pensar are “stemchanging” verbs.
•They are “e > ie” stem-changing
verbs.
“BOOT” OR “SHOE” VERBS
• Those three verbs are called “boot” or “shoe” verbs.
• Why? Well, when you conjugate the verbs with the
different subject pronouns the letter E changes to IE,
EXCEPT ON THE FORM NOSOTROS!
• If you circle the verbs that have changed, it will take the
shape of a boot or shoe.
