COMPUTER MAIN PARTS
Hardware
Software
HARDWARE
• Definition:
• The set of hardware components that make up the material part (physical) of a
computer, unlike the software refers to the logical components (intangible).
However, the term is usually understood more broadly and is used to refer to all
the physical components of a technology.
COMPONENTES
• Microprocessor: It is the computer's brain . It is a chip, a type of electronic
component inside which there are thousands ( or millions ) of elements
called transistors, whose combination allows work that is entrusted with the
chip.
MOTHERBOARD
• Motherboard. It is a versatile element which is designed as a printed circuit
whose mission is to provide hardware to the PC , in addition to other
functions such as control buses , system management power , control and
manipulation of hardware, support hardware function / induced ventilation ;
besides being able to identify the units of input / output. Human biological
simile : Skeleton , as this connects and supports almost all organs of the
same .
RAM
• RAM. This memory is what set this logical space reserved for temporary
storage of data and instructions .
MONITOR
• Monitor . It is an essential element in our times. The monitors will be
responsible for "translating" those electrical impulses that swarm inside the
PC user- intelligible information
MOUSE AND KEYBOARD
• Mouse and keyboard . They are only peripheral , which make today
intoducción command and algorithms, which can be interpreted as letters,
numbers , symbols and signs of buttons.
HDDS
• HDDs . A peripheral element that , depending on the input / output , allows
the storage of data in a similar way as it could a floppy disk is only now on a
larger scale and capacity, in addition to a very optimized access speed.
SINK
• A sink is a tool used to lower the temperature of some electronic
components. “you lower the temperature to a processor”
COMPUTER BATTERY
• It is responsible for preserving the BIOS data when the computer is off.
Without it, every time we light would enter the characteristics of the hard
drive , chipset , date , time, Windows startup on boot , etc.
Software
• Definition:
software are computer programs that make it possible to perform specific tasks
within a computer.
• For example: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web browsers, games, operating
systems, etc.
Types of software
• Software Application: This includes all programs that allow users to perform a specific task or tasks. Here are
programs that individuals use on a daily basis as word processors, spreadsheets, editors, telecommunications,
software, numerical and symbolic computation, video games, among others.
• Software Programming: those tools that a programmer uses to develop software. For this, the programmer
uses different programming languages. As an example can be taken compilers, software computer aided
design, integrated packages, text editors, linkers, debuggers, interpreters, among others.
• System software: the one that allows users to interact with the operating system as well as control it. This
system consists of a series of programs that aim to manage hardware resources and at the same time, give
the user an interface. The operating system can facilitate the use of computer users because it is he who
gives you the ability to allocate and manage system resources, as an example of this kind of software can
mention Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, including other. In addition to operating systems, within the
system software diagnostic tools, servers, utilities, device drivers and correction and optimization tools, etc.
are located.
