– Strong relationship between organizational relations
and the business case – “what’s in it for me?”
– Many degrees of freedom to operate in this area –
many paths to same destination

– Adopt best practices; learn from others
– Focus on needs, activities rather than organizational
structure (first)
– Marketing, sales, communications is critical need

Evaluate lessons learned from other organizations in attacking similar
