INTRODUCTION
Whoever produces varnishes is today facing a big dilemma:
producing from the pigments in powder
or from the concentrate pastes?
The dispersion phase implicates the use of machineries, the mills, with
relative employment of manpower both for the production,
maintenance and stock of numerous raw materials, with the related
costs and problems of logistic, control and management.

SERIES - LO 600 •
Binder:
•
Main Compatibilities: Medium and long-oil alkyd resin even urethanes,
linseed oil and stand-oil, chlorinated and cyclised
rubber
•
Main Applications:
Long-oil alkyd resin
Air drying alkyd coatings with systems based on
the above mentioned binders, do-by-yourself
varnishes, long-oil enamels, etc.
SERIES - CO 500 - Binder:
Medium-oil alkyd resin
- Main Compatibilities: Alkyd resin of all oil length, nitrocellulose,
chlorinated and cyclized rubber, amino
resins, hard resins: practically may be
used in all systems compatible with alkyd
resins
- Main Applications:
The CO 500 Series has a universal
application for all the solvent-based
systems, including the other solvent-born
AB Chimica Series, deco, industrial, road
signs and tinting machines

- Binder:
- CO 800 -
Non-drying short-oil alkyd resin based on
saturated synthetic fatty acid
- Main Compatibilities: Short-oil alkyd resins, nitrocellulose,
amino resins, two-component urethanes
- Main Applications:
Particularly suitable for the general and
wood industries, polyurethanes twocomponents systems, industrial tinting
systems, etc.

- UD 200 -
Thermoplastic resin
- Main Compatibilities: The binder used into this series has a
large compatibility with several solvents one
or two-components clear varnish
- Main Applications:
It includes dispersions of those pigments
suitable and suggested for the eventual
substitution of the lead-chromates, having
high resistance and covering characteristics.
It is extremely compatible with all the other
solvent-based AB Chimica Series

- Main Compatibilities: Most of two-component epoxies regardless
of the curing system used

SERIES - UWS 1000 - Binder:
Mix of polymeric surfactants
Low VOC’s Series
- Main Compatibilities: Solutions, dispersions and emulsions water
based resins

Water-based woodstains, industrial
coatings, high quality mono and
two-component coatings, printing inks,
wall-paints, tinting machines
SPECIAL PRODUCTS
- Transparent Iron Oxides: AB Chimica best known and best seller
products, for their tone pureness, high
transparency and high colour strength.
Available into our solvent-born Series
LO 600 (do-by-yourself applications) and
CO 800 (industrial applications), and into
our water-born Series AW 300 (acrylic paints)
and UWS 1000 (universal applications);
in this Series it is available the new
Brown Transparent Iron Oxide,
by the use of which it is possible to avoid the
introduction of the Black pigment into the
woodstains formulation, obtaining an high
quality brighter finished product and
avoiding the possible sedimentation
problems of the Black.

Dispersions of High Performances Pigments:
Into our water-born UWS 1000 and
solvent-born UD 200 Series we disperd the
Bismuth-Vanadate-Molibdate Yellow
and in the UWS 1000 Series the
DPP Red
preparations who offer the maximum
light and weathering resistances
characteristics, even in reduced shade
(with TiO2).
