• Is a drug
• Is very addictive
• Contains nicotine - acts as a
stimulant in the body
• Nicotine can also be found in
insecticides (sprays to kill bugs)

• Nicotine is extremely poisonous to
the body. In high doses, it can cause:

• Your body gets used to the
chemicals in tobacco and will need
more and more to keep the
cravings and other addictive
effects away

– Can occur over a very short period
of time
– Everyone is different

individual’s body will respond
