 It means : healthy eating,

alternative health.

your weight at a healthy level.

You cannot have a healthy lifestyle if you
are depress and unhappy.
 Alternative health options like herbal
medicine, massage therapy, meditation,
aromatherapy, etc, can benefit you and
help you have a healthier lifestyle.

Living a healthy lifestyle takes discipline.
 You must make up your mind and
choose things that are good.
 Take care of your physical, mental and
spiritual health.
 You should monitor what you do on a
regular basis. If something is not right, you
can make any necessary changes.

There are basically five food groups:
grains, vegetables, fruits, dairy products
and meat or meat substitutes.
 The daily recommended servings of
each food group are dependent on
various factors such as age, sex and
activity level of the individuals.
 Take three cups of vegetables, because
they are your primary source of vitamins
and minerals.

Take two cups of fruits,
 fresh fruits like apple, oranges, bananas
and grapefruits.
 Take three cups of dairy products like
milk, cheese, and yogurt.
 The major sources of protein are meat
like beef, fish, poultry, eggs and beans
and tofu.

If you make your body strong and
healthy, then you won’t become ill.
There are three ways to do this:
 - diet
 - relaxation
 - exercise

People try to eat regularly, avoid eating
chips, hamburgers, food in tins and
packets.
 Instead, they try to eat fresh fruit and
vegetables, brown bread, fish and white
meat and reduce the amount of salt, fat,
and sugar.

Relaxation helps the body to rest and
repair itself.
 Some people can control problems and
pressure.
 Sleep well, enjoy life, don’t worry very
much and try to avoid stressful situations.

-classical medicine-offers treatment with
painkillers.
 -traditional medicine-herbalism,
acupuncture, homeopathy, osteopathy,
shiatsu. It looks at the whole person, not
just the illness.

Acupuncture- uses needles.
 Homeopathy- uses natural plants and
flowers.
 Osteopathy- is a system of movements.
Osteopaths push, pull and twist the body
with their hands.

