45 minutes on the M3, M30 expressway.
Access by Railroad
• 185 kilometers between Budapest Keleti
(East) Railroad Station and Miskolc Tiszai
Railroad Station.
• Duration of travel is 1 hour 52 minutes by
comfortable InterCity service with 1st and
2nd class coaches.
Kosice International Airport
The airport is located 80 kilometers North of
Miskolc on the M30 highway.
The airport is capable of serving small
„business“ aircrafts to Boeing 767 or Airbus
300.
Debrecen Regional Airport
The airport is located 100 kilometers East of
Miskolc on the M3 expressway and M35 highway.
The airport is capable of serving small „business“
aircrafts to Boeing 737 or Airbus 310, Airbus 320.
Miskolc Sport Airport
A small sports airport located North of
Miskolc with a grass runway.
Can of receive small airplanes capable of

Why
Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County?
• because of the political and legislative stability:
- Hungary’s membership of the European Union and of the
NATO guarantees a long-term political stability,
economical growth,
- regulations regarding to investment incentives are in
harmony with EU legislation, constant and foreseeable.
• because of the cost factor:
- available low-cost industrial sites supplied with necessary
infrastructure,
- available good quality, inexpensive transportation
infrastucture: highway, railroad, access to airports,
- average salaries are far lower than those in Western
European countries and in other parts of Hungary,
- the 16 % company tax is one of the lowest within the
European Union and can be reduced by different tax
incentives,
- different forms of central-, regional- and local tax
benefits, direct incentives for investments and special
incentive packages for large investments.
• because of the market factor:
- direct, custom-free access to a single market of more
than 450 million people,
- the County’s geographical location provides easy access
to the growing Russian and Ukrainian markets,
- existing SME’s provide a good quality production
background.
• because of the competence factor:
- Miskolc University and secondary level educational
institutes provide a well-trained, value-added workforce,
- R & D activities provide a growing background for
production and innovation.
• because many foreign companies found it worthwhile,
