Explain your product and what it does
The product I will be advertising is a cap which
had a discrete metal plate underneath the rim.
This records and interprets the brain waves
using a universal fatigue algorithm. The cap
then wirelessly sends this information to the
base unit which then displays the level on a
screen. You can pre-program the base unit to
recognise at which level it should alert you from
one to nine. Once alerted you can have a rest
early so you aren't putting yourself or others at
risk.

Who is your target audience-how will your
product appeal to them?
The target audience is long distance drivers
such as truck, car, and train drivers. This will
appeal to them by being advertised as an
essential product to remain safe. This can also
be for any driver who works long shifts and
drives vehicles or machinery.

The Packaging is a neutral coloured box which
comes with two hats, a base station and a
manual.

Where will you place your adverts?
Our adverts will be placed mainly on roadside
billboard to emphasise safety on the road. We
will also incorporate TV and newspaper ads to
raise awareness of the new system. We will
also make this Tax Deductible so individuals
and businesses will be more willing to purchase
this safety product.

What are your marketing strategies?
As well as advertisements we will buy small lots
of land by the road and make these rest
stations. If alerted we will encourage tired
drivers to seek out a rest spot. We will equip
these rest stops with toilets, picnic tables,
rubbish bins and solar powered vending
machines as well as advertising for our product.
We will also have a map of all the other rest
stops in Australia. We plan to have about 15
Australia-wide.

Another Marketing strategy we will use is to
have Lindsay Fox to endorse these products.
Lindsay Fox own a trucking company (Linfox)
with a fleet of over 5,000 trucks. If he
encourages the use of the Driver Alert system
several other trucking companies will probably
follow.
We also plan to have the product shown on Top
Gear so that we will attract international
attention.

Why is your campaign the best?
Our campaign is the best because this product
is designed for safety so people will think they
are doing a encouraging safety by endorsing it.
It is also low budget because TV and
Newspaper are only small parts of the
campaign and the overall idea is to get people
to recommend it not advertise it. Also this will be
seen a service to people as we will be funding
rest stops which are ideal for families or long
distance drivers.
