Advanced Battery Management (ABM®)
Technology
BC
• Doubles battery
service life by charging
only when needed
• Optimizes recharge
time
• Does not trickle charge
and starve the electrolyte
• Intelligent microprocessor controlled Only true & automatic battery check (periodic, controlled
discharge) for most accurate advanced failure protection
• Sleep Feature - no unnecessary
battery “drain”

ABM: 3-Stage Charger
1. Rapid recharge to approximately 90%
• Restores batteries quickly
• UPS is ready for next power outage
2. Float charge to 100%
• Completely charges batteries, but prevents
overcharging
3. Rest mode
• With charger turned off, UPS conducts accurate tests
to monitor battery health and provide accurate runtime
predictions

Extended Battery Modules (EBMs)
• Add up to 4 EBMs to extend
backup time
• Each EBM occupies only
3U of rack space
• Hot-swap capability allows
you to increase backup time
or replace EBMs while keeping
attached equipment up and running
