Simple Circuits
Require four basic components.
1. Conductor, like wires.
2. Voltage source, like a battery.
3. Load, like a lamp or a buzzer.
4. Control, like a switch.

Electron Theory of Current
Current flows from negative to positive.

Direct Current DC
Current flows from negative to positive
only in one direction and never flows in
the opposite direction. Batteries provide
DC.

Alternating Current AC
Current flows from negative to positive in
one direction and then reverses direction
when the polarity changes. Convenience
outlets in the walls provide AC from power
plants.
