Oils/fats group health
benefits/disadvantages
Oil vs. fats:
Fats contain more saturated/trans fat than oils. Oils
contain more monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats
that are better for your health.
Why are oils important?
Small amounts are recommended because oils have
essential fatty acids that will not have high cholesterol
levels. These essential fatty acids also provide some vitamin
E.
Health disadvantages include obesity, cancer, and heart
diseases.
