Why Outlet Level Monitoring?
Outlet level power measurement:
• Optimise and Utilise the available power
• Control the capital expenditure for new and existing infrastructure
• Control the operational expenditure of running a Data Centre

Why Outlet Level Monitoring?
• Increasing focus on data center efficiency requiring
end-to-end accurate measurement
• Market research shows that outlet level monitoring is the
fastest growing PDU technology (e.g. IMS world market share
etc)
• Measuring to the outlet level allows decisions to be
made based on individual server characteristics or use
• Customer or department allocation or cost charge based on
power usage
• You need to accurately monitor down to the server
level to really know what is going on in the data centre
